"I advocate for our profession daily. Don't just listen to rumors; learn about law enforcement through reliable sources. It's the most honorable profession I know."
Goodbye. You have single-handedly ruined the professional working relationship with all police agencies in Cook County, pushed your 'reimage policing' agenda at the expense of public safety, and gave special treatment to Jussie Smollett. Good riddance.@CWBChicago@MorningAnswer
COPA is recommending firing an officer for shooting an Individual who pointed a gun at him. Officer Enrique Martinez waited 10 seconds & then was shot & killed. If you don’t think this affects how police officers respond, you’re wrong. @TomSchuba @FoxNews
A teenager from Elgin was shot/killed in Chicago while walking to a concert at the UC. Many don't want to say it, but going to Chicago is dangerous. Until Chicago has a mayor who takes crime seriously, it's not worth risking your life. @MorningAnswer@Suntimes@ChicagoContrar1
Today's attack on @ICEgov & local police at the Broadview, IL processing center is a criminal act. The politicians who participated are activists; you are an elected official, & you fight law enforcement? You should be removed. @CWBChicago@FoxNews@foxnewsnight@MorningAnswer
Weitzel: "There was a shooting in Plainfield Park, another in Prospect Heights, & teens took over a pool in Glen Ellyn. Officers were also assaulted in Bridgeview. This rising lawlessness & Chicago-style crime have spread to the suburbs." @CWBChicago@MorningAnswer@WGNNews
Weitzel: “Mayor Johnson's comment calling law enforcement a 'sickness' that needs to be 'eradicated' has smeared every police agency in America. Police leadership throughout the country must denounce his words. I am - He should resign.” @JasonMattera@CWBChicago@FoxNews
Weitzel: “I never thought I would see this in policing. If Chicago has leadership like this, it's time to consider leaving for another department or state. What's next, not assisting suburban departments?” @CWBChicago@FoxNews@SecondCityCop@SubxNews@tracegallagher@PressSec
Downtown Chicago Holiday Lights Festival. People attending have been attacked, robbed & a woman has been shot outside of Macy's on State Street. Some criticized me for saying to stay away from Chicago due to the violence on @MorningAnswer; forget it; I'm right. @ChicagoContrar1
Bolingbrook, Oakbrook Terrace, Oak Lawn, Oak Brook, Lombard, Oak Park, Villa Park, Elmhurst, & more communities - what do they all have in common? -Violent Chicago street crime oozing into suburban Cook, DuPage, Will County (and more). Chicago politics are killing the suburbs-
Weitzel, “Suburban "youth" attending a concert in Chicago, were shot and killed. CPD withholds information, likely due to city hall's desire to downplay the incident”.@CWBChicago
Brother of Elgin teen fatally shot near United Center speaks out
Not only was downtown Chicago in complete chaos, but so were the Chicago-area expressways leading into the city. The city has canceled other events that threatened public safety; it's time to do the same for this event.
Suburban Oak Brook-DuPage County-
“When Hayes was arrested, she allegedly told officers that this was "no big thing" and that she "would be out tomorrow." Weitzel, “She must have thought she was in Cook County- she’s being held in custody, Kim Foxx, please note.” @MorningAnswer
Weitzel, "It is absolutely time for change at CPD, Mayors Office, Governor and State Leadership. This is pure lawlessness and outright no fear of consequences", Can anyone justify this? See my leadership opinion next -
