Your partner tells you she’s had a bad day and instead of creating a safe environment for her to vent and release, you offer solutions further invalidating her emotional needs. The inability to differentiate when someone needs solutions vs an outlet is rooted in lack of empathy

If a man starts ignoring me I will just quietly move on. No long angry messages to make him 'see my worth'. No 'he won't find someone like me' or 'he will regret it'. I collect myself and leave. I deserve a love that is sure of me from the beginning.

Daily reminder that men across the world needed their governments to tell them they can’t marry children.

Self love isn’t the girlie people on here make her to be. You can’t self love yourself out of loneliness or out of oppression. People need communities, companionship, support and love. Life is meant to be shared. No amount of self love can substitute these things

Feminists are some of the happiest women I know. The most bitter women I’ve come across are the pickmes who were never chose. Imagine caping for men your whole life and focusing on becoming the ‘right woman’ and still not getting chose. Chile.....

When pple do this I often wonder if it’s because they didn’t grow up in an environment that allowed them to express their feelings/work out their emotions. Like “I had a bad day” doesn’t need logical fixing because in life you’ll have many bad days, so learn how to deal w it

I disagree with the notion that women can’t handle the truth. Women handle the truth just fine. The problem is that you expect women to handle the truth in a way that still benefits you at her expense.

A good candidate was denied a job after acing her interview because she had a criminal record for smashing her cheating boyfriends car windows. Y'all will learn that life is not a movie. Imagine being unemployable because you thought life was a Tyler Perry production. Stop it.

My only advice to younger women would be to build their lives and communities outside of men (romantic partners). Men cannot be your identity. Sometimes the love you think you need from men is found in friendships. No one will love and ride for you like your good friends.

It’s not in “men’s nature” to be solution focused or problem solvers. It’s patriarchal conditioning that has you thinking if you’re not performing as the Saviour to your partner, you’re not useful. Have you heard of Emotional support or just listening 💀?

I hope we leave this “your skin 😍” energy in 2018 and start humanizing darkskinned people. It feels performative if the only thing you can compliment us on is oily dark skin in frames.
