Didn’t realise there was a memorial bench in Brockwell Park for Sarah Everard. It stopped me in my tracks. March 3rd will be 4 years since she died. Her death brought so many things to light regards policing. But her family will remain devastated. RIP Sarah, keep on dancing. 💔

When young people, many of them black, did this in London in 2011 the courts sent them to jail very fast, opening at the weekend to move things quickly. 2,158 people were convicted and 1,800 years were handed out in jail time. Often for petty crimes. Starmer was DPP at the time.

The BBC will never learn will it? So many women will identify with Katya’s experience here and her fixed grin/grimace. Many will have experienced a man’s wandering hands and/or inappropriate behaviour and felt they had to smile and ignore it. The apology video is beyond grim.

A testament to policing and its approach to violence against women + girls? This young woman had a plate smashed into her head. With the police in the same space. They did nothing. What hope for women and girls who suffer abuse behind closed doors? These women have no chance.

My condolences go out to the family of the 15yr old girl who died yesterday. I lost my daughter, Cassie, in Croydon, over 20 years ago. Every young woman who dies like this takes me back to that day. May this poor young girl rest in peace and her family find solace and justice.

Today is the 4 yr anniversary of Sarah's death. Thinking of her family and friends today and everyone who loved her, wishing them strength. It's a long road ahead for them. I think about my Cassie every day and the pain never leaves you, but you learn to move forward with it.💔

Twenty one years yesterday since my daughter, Cassie, was killed by her ex-boyfriend when she was only 19. I miss her every single hour. As each year passes the pain doesn’t leave but we have to keep moving forwards. Rest in Peace, Cassie. My beautiful girl.

If a woman is stabbed to death in the street by a stranger, the starting point for sentencing is 25 years. If the same woman is stabbed to death with a kitchen knife in her own home - the starting point for sentencing is 15 years.

A teenager from south London has been convicted for 22 counts of rape against six different women. Kevarnie Queen, 19, from Brixton, took some of his victims to tower blocks and raped them in communal stairwells.
