    We thank @EdwardJDavey for raising with the Prime Minister @Keir_Starmer at #PMQs today the impact that the removal of the universal entitlement to Winter Fuel Payments will have on unpaid carers like Norman, who are over state pension age and will no longer receive the payment.

    The Carer’s Allowance earnings limit increase announced in the #AutumnBudget today is unprecedented. After years of our campaigning, we are pleased that working carers can now take on additional hours to earn up to £196 per week from April 2025, or over £10,000 a year.

    Thank you @EdwardJDavey for raising that thousands of unpaid carers are having to repay very substantial Carer’s Allowance overpayments to the @DWPgovuk at the first #PMQs today. Carers, who need and deserve better, urgently need to see reform of Carer’s Allowance.
