- The Beckham record at GHS: 268 wins, 108 losses for a winning pct. of .713. Under Coach Beckham, GHS won the 2009 state championship and made 3 Final Fours while averaging over 20 wins per season.
- Congratulations to our coach Kelly Beckham (at GHS 2008-2021) on his selection to the FHSAA Hall of Fame!
- Nominating Alissa Humphrey from Gainesville (FL) HS softball to SVP on Sportscenter. Senior year cut short with a 7-0 record, 0.00 ERA. 3 perfect games and 2 no-hitters. 106 strikeouts in 47 innings. Batted .478. #SeniorNight
- This day in Canes history: March 6, 2009 - GHS won the 5A State Championship defeating Clearwater and won their last 20 games that season. Leading the effort was T.J. Hall (21 pts.) and Greg Gantt (19, below). Coach Kelly Beckham delivered the trophy in his first season at GHS.
