Could a "universal vaccine" protect us from future virus outbreaks? 🦠 A Cambridge team has developed an entirely new way of making vaccines. Using data from virus surveillance programmes around the world, they used AI to design a ‘super antigen’. This can create a single vaccine that provides lasting protection against a broad range of viruses - like the Ebola or coronavirus group - even as they mutate into new variants.
