    Today we said goodbye to a living legend, Ms Monica Darragh, who left us after 39 and a half years of outstanding service to the school and wider Shotts community. To say she will be missed is an understatement. We all wish her the most fabulous retirement 🍾

    We are sad to announce that Mr Roy Burgess passed away yesterday. Roy was a tremendous friend to many within our community and to the school. He cheerfully & expertly filled many roles to the benefit of staff, pupils and parents as PT Chemistry, Depute HT and Chief Invigilator.

    Today we said our final goodbyes to our friend and colleague Catherine Anne Strang. It was a very moving service with great singing, tears and laughter. She will be sadly missed by both staff and pupils.

    Today it was the turn of John Robertson, AKA "The Fastest HT in the 'shire" who said his final farewell to Calderhead & his teaching career. He will always be remembered fondly by staff & pupils alike. We thank you for all you have done over the years.

    Today we quietly mark the anniversary of the passing of Kiera Beagle. We will keep the school gates open at the end of the day for those that wish come and sit on her bench under her tree.

    We are delighted to confirm that the school will be open for S1, S4, S5, S6 pupils on Thursday 13th August as previously intimated. We had some water damage due to the substantial rainfall in the area. Contractors will be on site until 10pm, sorry in advance for any excess noise.
