- Yasa (owned by Mercedes) recently smashed their own record for motor weight, size and horsepower. This production intent motor weighs 28lbs and produces 1,000hp!
- This is, supposedly, the $25,000 electric pickup truck from Jeff Bezos-backed Slate Automotive. We'll get more details April 23rd.
- A lot of people wonder how wealthy Chinese get their money out of the country. Here’s an example: last week customs officials in Hong Kong seized these two “water pumps”. If you look closely at the second photo you’ll see gold. $11,000,000 worth of gold disguised as water pumps.
- The best answer for a new greenfield city is Cairo Illinois: it sits at the intersection of the Mississippi, Tennessee, and Ohio rivers and is practically uninhabited. The best answer for an existing city is probably…Is there any place geographically you could see the United States building a new major city/metro?
- Replying to @reshetzSame thing in Denver today. About 200 people and a lot of drivers slowing down to honk in support. Keep in mind this dealership is kind of in the middle of nowhere.
- One of the most shrewd guys I know just told me he sold his entire exotic car collection. High 9-figure net worth, cars were probably worth ~$20mil, and I know his business is fine. He said he “grew tired of them” but I don’t buy that.
- A very important story that's flying under the radar at the moment: Saudi Arabia plans to pay off Syria's World Bank debt. Beyond the humanitarian implications, there's a very significant geopolitical implication (see next tweet):
- Replying to @moseskagan*nods* Bamboo spreads via rhizomes which are kind of like nodular roots that spread out horizontally. They are very strong and can punch through concrete. Bamboo can be very destructive near a building and it's very tough to get rid of.
