- Eighty-two years ago today, on June 6, 1944, Lt. Stevens suffered a fatal heart attack while on patrol in the CT River.
- 97 years ago today, Trooper Hellberg of New Britain was fatally injured in a motorcycle fall. The accident occurred on June 1, 1929.
- CSP remembers Trooper Russell Bagshaw, ambushed at an interrupted burglary on June 5, 1991, in Windham before he could even use his radio or exit his cruiser. Tpr Bagshaw had been a Trooper for 4 years prior to making the ultimate sacrifice.
- TFC Greene lost his battle with cancer caused by exposure to toxins at the World Trade Center site on 9/11/2001 when he and his k-9 partner responded to search for survivors.
- TFC Pelletier was conducting a traffic stop on I-84 in Southington when he was fatally struck by an impaired driver. TFC Pelletier was assigned to Troop H, Hartford. and served as a K9 Handler attached to the Emergency Services Unit.
- Auxiliary Trooper Phillip A. Mingione of Milford had stopped and was standing outside his vehicle on I-91 in North Haven when a passing motorist lost control of their vehicle, struck and killed Auxiliary Trooper Mingione.
- TFC Baron died from cancer resulting from his response to the World Trade Center after the terrorist attacks on 9/11/2001. This is classified as a line of duty death. TFC Baron became a Trooper in 1990 & served at Troop A in Southbury, Troop G in Bridgeport & Traffic Services.
