The pay settlement for teachers announced today is not affordable within existing resources, especially in the context of unprecedented energy costs and other inflationary pressures for schools. It is essential that the government commits to a funded pay settlement. 1/2

- We welcome @educationgovuk announcement of £1 billion funding package for 2020-21 to support lost learning. This announcement is in line with @CSTvoice position that catch up is a long-term endeavour best aligned with a school or trust’s curriculum.
