Tonight, NYC stood together to celebrate and remember Michelle Go.
It's on all levels of government to work together to end tragedies like this. From fixing our broken mental health system to infrastructure improvements, New Yorkers demand and deserve a safe city.

- (1/4) Today, I introduced a bill in the City Council requiring the Department of Homeless Services to open an intake center in every borough for homeless families in need of shelter.
- Honored to serve as the chair of the Committee on Government Operations! As chair, I look forward to working with @NYCSpeakerAdams & my colleagues to ensure that the agencies that New Yorkers deal with every day operate in a fair and just way.
- .@NYCSpeakerAdams is right on🎯: the shared e-scooters have been a nuisance for many of our constituents. I see them blocking sidewalks and posing an obstacle to our elderly and disabled community almost daily. It's past time for @NYC_DOT to listen to our concerns!
- My District Office has been open since I was elected to office, but I guess this makes it official!
- The @nyccouncil today passed my resolution in support of a bill sponsored by @repgracemeng to make Lunar New Year a federal holiday. Having the support of the most diverse City Council in the history of NYC will show lawmakers there is broad support for making this a reality.
- Tonight we marked the one-year anniversary of the Atlanta spa shootings on the steps of Borough Hall. While it was a mournful vigil, it gives me hope to see so many people stand with the AAPI community in the fight against intolerance. #StopAsianHate
- It was incredibly meaningful to return to Cambodia with my mother! When I was just a young girl, my father, mother, brother and I fled the country to escape the genocide of minorities there, including ethnic Chinese like my family. When I was 7 years old, we found our way to NYC.
- When I came to the U.S. as a young girl, my family couldn’t afford to buy books. So I checked out every Curious George book I could get my hands on in my local branch of the @QPLNYC, improving my English in the process.
- As we reflect on the atrocities of the Holocaust on #YomHaShoah, it’s sad to realize that anti-Semitic crimes in New York were up 24 percent last year. We must stand with the Jewish community and any other community in our city facing hate for who they are or what they believe.
- In 1993, the first Queens Pride Parade was a show of visibility for the #LGBTQ community in response to the murder of Jackson Heights' Julio Rivera. It was a perfect day to mark #PrideMonth2022 and continue this tradition with @NYCSpeakerAdams and my fellow @NYCCouncil members!
- Toothaches are the worst! A constituent called today because she couldn’t get her medicine delivered, so my office picked up her prescription and we dropped it off at her home. 92 years young!
