- Bill Self just won his 20th regular season conference title. To put that in perspective, Coach K has 13.
- This sign (a Bill Self Sr. quote) is in front of the KU student section tonight. Told KU had nothing to do with it but students got in touch with athletic department to make sure they could get it in and hang it. Pretty cool thing for students to do.
- This story on KJ Adams and his mom was hard to write, but I’m honored they trusted me to tell it. No matter who you root for, you’re going to fall in love with this family.
- Bennett Stirtz grew up a K-State fan. Grandparents have football season tickets. Girlfriend is on K-State dance team. And the Drake guard, who had no D1 offers in high school, just hit the first buzzer beater of his life to beat K-State.
- Danny Manning tells me he is interested in becoming the next athletic director at Kansas.
