As we were forced to release Mad Max on the same day as MGS, they blamed us for the bad sales and cancelled a bunch of awesome DLC that was just sitting there waiting to be released.

- This is complete nonsense and just shows complete arrogance. They did everything they could to make this a complete linear game after having signed up with a developer of open-world games. I'm sure Hideo Kojima would make an awesome Mad Max game, but it would be a completelyFuriosa director George Miller says 2015's Mad Max game "wasn't as good as we wanted it to be" - but he'd love Hideo Kojima to make a new one trib.al/bqJDsTU
- Replying to @CHSundbergAfter the first year of development they realized that they had forced us to make a linear experience rather than the open world game we pitched. We threw away a year of work and got to hear that "players wants autonomy in this day and age". Well, no shit...
- The Mad Max game team deserves so much more credit than they have been given. Everyone involved in that project bears the scars of a hell of a project. To hear that the ones who were supposed to support us, just shit all over the work of an awesome team pisses me off.
- I can fill X with true stories about the development of Mad Max. It was a hell of a great game, but released in a terrible release-window, which we could not convince the publisher to do otherwise.
- No, not at all. This was just a strange decision still a mystery to me.
- Replying to @GamesRadarIf it was up to them it would been a complete linear story with quick-time events. We pitched an open-world game, they loved it then and and that's what they got - and a pretty damn good one too. KMM have zero knowledge about game development and we got caught in a political
- I'm waiting on the side-lines here. After all, I just created the IP... Originally, the game was a parody on action movies, so the IP makes it's return back to its roots. I hope they've got a meaty budget to match the explosions in the game. 😀 #JustCauseUniversal Pictures is reportedly teaming up with Square Enix to create a movie adaptation of Avalanche Studios’ explosive open-world video game series, Just Cause. bit.ly/3Vmqyyy
- Considering that the games biz is in a Headless Chicken mode right now, every game released, every new studio announced, every rehire is a huge victory for all of us. We’re all in this together and hiding behind important titles and faking reality is not helping. Be accountable. After making layoffs earlier this year, Avalanche co-founder's new studio Liquid Swords has teased its first game with a new video. vgc.news/news/after-mak…
- Mad Max is on sale for $19.99 on Steam. Every sold copy means royalty for the parties involved except the developer, who would earn a single figure royalty after all costs recouped. That might be me being a bad negotiator back in ‘09. We had just come out of a year of lay-offs so
00:00- Replying to @NoBarkNoonan_ and @GamesRadarThank you! That means a lot. We did a hell of a job on that game.

- I am extremely humbled and proud for all the photomode images posted from @MadMaxGame and many shout-ours lately. We did something good there and it’s a recognition to the team which they never got. #MadMax #AvalancheStudios
