- Carroll High School mourning death of head volleyball coach Carroll HS mourning the death of Head Volleyball Coach Stacy Selby,who passed away Thursday evening. The 2019-2020 school year was Selby’s third at Carroll. She was also a special education teacher and department chair.
- Please join us in congratulating Scott Walker, @VMHSEagles’ new principal! Walker, who served as an assistant principal at Veterans Memorial High School for three years, will become the second principal in the school’s history.

- Due to #Harvey, classes and activities for Mon. Aug. 28 are cancelled. We will continue to issue updates for staff and students as needed.

- A message from Superintendent Dr. Roland Hernandez: While I had hoped to have better news to share, it has become apparent that we need to continue to do our part to keep our students, staff and community safe. Our schools will be closed to the public until at least April 14.
- Corpus Christi ISD has named Robert Arredondo principal of Mary Carroll High School. He will replace Dr. Jamie Meek, who is relocating out of the area. Arredondo served as principal of Joseph T. Dawson Elementary School for four years.
- Campuses and district offices will open Mar. 23. Starting Friday, we will be answering questions via the FAQ on CCISD.us. Thank you for your patience as our community works together to keep our community a low-risk environment.
- Congratulations to @VMHSEagles Coach John Mitchell! This summer, he was recognized at the National High School Strength Coaches' Association in Nashville, Tennessee. He was selected as the Texas High School Strength Coach of the Year! #CCISDproud
- Corpus Christi ISD names Chief of Staff Corpus Christi ISD has named Kimberley Donaldson James as the district’s Chief of Staff. She will begin transitioning to her new role on Monday, July 29.
