- Breaking: There will be no Republican supermajority in North Carolina. This is HUGE news for abortion rights. Republicans were just a few seats away from winning the power to override Democratic Gov. Roy Cooper's veto and enact a total or 6-week abortion ban.
- Breaking: A Michigan judge rules that the state's 1931 pre-Roe ban cannot be enforced, granting Gov. Whitmer's request for preliminary injunction. Abortion remains legal in Michigan.
- Breaking: A federal judge has temporarily blocked Kentucky's sweeping antiabortion law. The state's two clinics will resume abortion care.
- My mom just told me she cancelled her subscription to The Washington Post. She reads every one of my stories. It was a heartbreaking call. I understand why she did it, but I asked her to reconsider. To anyone who has cancelled or is thinking about cancelling, here’s what I said:

- Scoop: Judge Kacsmaryk in 2017 submitted a law review article criticizing protections for trans people. Ahead of his judicial nomination, he removed his name and swapped in two others. Nominees are required to disclose all publications to the Senate.
- University of Idaho employees were warned Friday that they could be charged with a felony for talking about abortion, because of the state’s new abortion law. They were also told *they could no longer provide birth control.* Not just Plan B, but regular birth control.

- Last month, I heard about a TX woman with an ectopic pregnancy who was turned away by her doctor, then her ER. Ectopics must be terminated immediately or the patient can die. She drove 12+ hours to New Mexico. I wanted to understand how that happened 🧵
