We believe in a world full of hope and joy - one where our sisters and brothers can overcome poverty and injustice for good. Together, we are making real, long-lasting change and you can join us. Our faith inspires us to keep striving, because a better world needs all of us.

Today is Good Friday when Jesus was mocked, beaten and nailed to a cross. โœ๏ธ It's hard to see what was 'Good' about this Friday but when we see the cross, we see the persistent love of God in a broken world. See more in our reflection ๐Ÿ‘‡ cafod.org.uk/pray/lent-caleโ€ฆ
An image of a cross in hills with the sun rising above it.

"Jesus said, 'It is finished.'
With that, he bowed his
head and gave up his spirit."

John 19:30.

Eternal rest grant unto Pope Francis. You have been the voice of the voiceless, the champion of the poor. May perpetual light shine upon you, just as you have shone on this world.

Christ is Risen! Christ is risen indeed! Alleluia! Thank you for following our reflections over Lent. As we celebrate Easter, let us rejoice in the resurrection and all the signs of hope we can see in the world. ๐Ÿ™ Our final reflection ๐Ÿ‘‡ cafod.org.uk/pray/lent-caleโ€ฆ
A family of three sat down smiling.

"This day was made by the Lord,
we rejoice and are glad."

Psalm 117:24

Pope Francis has asked world leaders to show compassion for people fleeing their homes, whether itโ€™s because of war, persecution or poverty. Ask your MP to build bridges and not walls by opposing the Illegal Migration Bill. ๐Ÿ‘‡ action.cafod.org.uk/page/130969/acโ€ฆ
A photo of Pope Francis with his hand raised as he waves to a crowd.

The text reads:

"No one can remain excluded because of his or her place of birth, much less because of privileges enjoyed by others who were born in lands of greater opportunity."

Pope Francis.

Last night, we joined @savechildrenuk, @oxfamgb, @christianaid and @AAH_UK in urging the UK government to listen to the call for a #CeasefireNOW. The fighting must stop so that more humanitarian aid can reach the civilian population of Gaza.
The Houses of Parliament photographed from the other side of the Thames with a projection reading "Ceasefire Now" being beamed onto it.

The Illegal Migration Act goes against everything Pope Francis has called us to be. It builds walls, not bridges. It turns away people who need safety. We will continue to campaign to ensure refugees are treated with dignity. #IllegalMigrationBill

Overlaid is a tweet from the CAFOD account. It says: "The Illegal Migration Bill has passed. It goes against everything Pope Francis has asked leaders to do for people seeking safety."

Each year, more and more people around the world are going hungry, despite there being enough food in the world to feed everyone. Open our mouths to speak out, challenging greed and inequality, and standing up for all among us in desperate need of food ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿฟ๐Ÿ’š
