- GOAL, Hershey. Matt Strome with the winner 66 seconds into overtime. Bears defeat the Coachella Valley Firebirds 5-4 in Game 6. They're Calder Cup champions for the 13th time in club history.
00:00 - Our son, Freddie, made his grand entrance today with "Here Comes the Sun" playing in the OR. My wife was an MVP, and everyone took great care of us. I'm overwhelmed by it all, in a good and happy and thankful way.

00:00 - Final thought (for now) about PIAA Track: For all the debate there's been about state championship venues in HS sports, Seth Grove Stadium always brings it. Bleachers on both sides (and by the throws) were full for most of the meet. Crowd brought it. Made for a great atmosphere.
- My PIAA takeaway: The last 24 hours have shown how much high school sports matter, how emotionally invested people are and how much they mean to the community. That's something we shouldn't take for granted moving forward, regardless of how we move forward.
