Someone asked me if Aaron Rodgers was gaining on Tom Brady in the GOAT discussion. Rodgers just turned 38 and has 12 career playoff wins. Brady has 12 playoff wins and three Super Bowl titles since turning 38. It's not that close.

- The Bills have won at the Rams, at Baltimore and at Kansas City.
- What an incredible game. Bills lose, 21-19, but I'm even more convinced that they're the team to beat in the NFL. All those backups playing key roles, it's the sort of game that helps bond a team.
- The more I watch Baker Mayfield and Lamar Jackson, the more convinced I am that Josh Allen was the cream of the crop in the 2018 quarterback class.
- I've accepted a buyout today after the News took away my column. They felt my voice was becoming bad for business. It's been a privilege to cover Buffalo sports for 29 years. I wrote for the readers, who deserved a fair, objective and passionate perspective, even when it stung.
- The lack of supermarkets on Buffalo's East Side has long been an issue. That Tops might be the only major one there. Curious how some 18-year-old from halfway across the state would have known to target it.
- Regardless of what happens tonight, Bills fans have to believe that Josh Allen is going to win a Super Bowl at some point in his career.
- So in his last four games, all national TV games, Josh Allen is 100-for-131 passing for 1,251 yards, with 16 TDs and 2 interceptions. That's against four playoff teams from last year, including the Super Bowl champs, the top AFC seed, the AFC title game loser and the Patriots.
- Since Sean McDermott and Leslie Frazier arrived in 2017 (along with Poyer/Hyde), the Bills have allowed only 87 touchdown passes. No other NFL team has allowed fewer than 110 over that 5-plus year stretch.
- For the record, the last time the Bills played in the AFC title game they beat Kansas City.
- That interception was the classic gutless call that officials make when one team is far ahead and they sub-consciously try to keep the other team in the game.
- Le'Veon Bell had 92 scrimmage yards on 23 touches. Devin Singletary had 98 yards on nine touches. Discuss.
- Rousseau opted out of last season to help his mother retire early. She was a nurse working with COVID-19 patients. Sounds like a guy with his priorities in order.
- Thirty years ago today, the Bills beat the Raiders, 51-3, at Rich Stadium to qualify for the Super Bowl for the first time.
