    Not breaking news here, but Penn reported a pre-tax loss of disposal of $923.2 million from selling Barstool Sports back to Dave Portnoy for $1 in August 2023; ESPN BET gross revenues for the 1st half of 2024 are less than what $PENN generated w/ Barstool in the 1st half of 2023

    BREAKING: Ohio sports betting bill passes House 72-12, not long after Senate passes identical bill. Legislation now goes to Gov. Mike DeWine, who is expected to sign shortly. Bill includes online; retail betting at casinos, stadiums & bars. Betting set to begin sometime in 2022.

    The coming DraftKings winning bet surcharge tax rate will vary by state, but in an example $DKNG gave in Illinois with a winning $10 bet at +100, the bettor received back $19.68 instead of $20 due to the tax. That would roughly translate to an odds shift from +100 to -104.
