Shadow of the Erdtree is, in my opinion, an improvement on what was already a 10/10 game.
I am shocked that most of the discourse is about the game being too hard. It seems like we all collectively need to learn the Margit lesson again. 🧵

- It's been just under a week since Shadow of the Erdtree launched. And we are now seeing the full new fromsoft game release cycle. It starts with "game too hard" because no one knows what the powerful weapons/strats are. Now it's shifted into creators 1 shotting bosses with
- Replying to @BushyGamesThere is literally only 4 required bosses to beat the game. If you're stuck on a boss, slamming your head against a wall, and getting frustrated it is almost certainly not required. And your time would be better spent exploring elsewhere and upgrading your character.

- Replying to @BushyGamesthe "flow" for upgrading your character is a little different though. Scadutree fragments are the DLCs true progression system NOT RUNES. Your rune level matters much less than your Scadutree level. And fragments are sourced from EXPLORING the world not killing bosses.
- 11 hours 55 minutes and 205 bosses into an all bosses speedrun. I had 1 chance to beat Radahn and reach my goal of a sub 12 hour finish.
00:00 - Replying to @BushyGamesHere's a couple more tips to help if you're still struggling: 1. 60 vigor means very little without enough endurance for good armor and defense talismans 2. choose 1 damage stat to invest into unless you're very high level, split scaling is a bait 3. Don't beat yourself up too
- Replying to @BushyGamesIt's easy to get stuck in the mindset of "kill a minor boss to get stronger" because that's what the base game wanted you to do, but in the DLC it's "explore for churches, sparkling pot holders, and Miquella crosses to get stronger"
- Replying to @BushyGamesBut that's kind of the point, the lesson that Margit should have taught all of us is that "rushing the obvious path forward will be substantially more difficult than taking your time, being thorough, and absorbing all of the content that the game has to offer"
