    The recent newsletter from @ReliefTigray is a refreshing read. They distribute food, but aside from that, their solar power and irrigation projects could not be more critical. Tigray needs this to survive. REST is reaching a lot of people, but not nearly enough. 1/2

    Respectfully, the Tigrayan resistance will not stop fighting until their families have food. This isn't bravado, its basic conflict analysis. The international community is prolonging this conflict through this "all parties" approach.

    Despite the current tensions and allegations flying between Ethiopia and the US, we must keep in mind that Egypt, Sudan, the US, the EU, the United Nations Security Council, and the Arab League all have precisely zero authority over the filling of the #GERD. It’s their dam.

    I can't believe that after #700DaysOfTigrayGenocide the US is still stuck on "Plan A." Every single day of inaction costs innocent lives. It is too late to save hundreds of thousands of civilians, but not too late to save millions. @AsstSecStateAF @MikeHammerUSA

    #TigrayFamine + #TigraySiege = #TigrayGenocide (🧵) The expert consensus is that Tigray is enduring an active famine. Blocking the delivery of food, meds, and fuel is a deliberate policy to cause mass starvation of Tigrayan families. It demands an international response. /1

    For the second time in a week, starving civilians in Mekelle are targeted in airstrikes. The UN, NATO, EU, or US could easily take control of airspace over Tigray, impose a #NoFlyZoneInTigray, airlift food and medicine, and protect Tigrayan civilians. /1 #StopBombingTigray

    January in Tigray: 1. The @WHO said that the blockade was creating a hell on earth. 2. The @WFP reported that 80% of Tigrayans were food insecure and >1/3 were starving. 3. @UNOCHA reported that no trucks were allowed to enter. #AllowAccessToTigray

    The base requirement to save lives is humanitarian access. In Ethiopia, WHO was able to dispatch 14 MT of medical supplies to Afar & 70 MT to Amhara in December. In Tigray, WHO has not been permitted to deliver medical supplies since mid-July of last year despite repeated request
