I’ve been to many (30-40?) state track meets over the years. Some teams win when their competition does not meet expectations. The Minster boys won today because they exceeded expectations when the pressure was on.

- After extensive research, it has been determined that last night Brian Falk set the new Minster record with 8 extra points kicked in one game. The old record was 7 extra points, set by Brian Wolf in 1991 vs Dayton Jefferson and Jason Schultz in 2014 vs Sidney Lehman.

- After the preliminaries at the Boys D3 state track meet, I project the final standings as: Minster - 33 McDonald - 31 Dalton - 30 Ashland Crestview - 28 Columbiana Crestview - 28 Columbus Grove - 26 Columbus Africentric - 25 Marion Local - 20 Every event will matter!
- Just noticed Brogan Stephey scored 18 points tonight. That makes him #1 on the Minster Career Points Scored list, as his 346 career points passes the old record holder, Ty Parks who had 344 points (2001-2004).

- It’s for certain: Minster hosts Riverside next Saturday, a few hours after we all get home from the state cross country meet.

- Fantastic runs under pressure by Joseph Slonkoski and Alex Albers give the Minster boys a chance to claim a state championship. How I wish I was there!
