So what does that tell you. People are no longer making discretionary trips to Manhattan to spend money there. No dinners, no shows, and businesses will suffer and close.

You clearly view midtown Manhattan as the entire NYC. In other parts of the city some bus lines run every 30 or 60 minutes and there are no subways.

If Congestion Pricing is ultimately killed, the MTA will cancel every capital project claiming they can’t afford to build anything now, as if they never built anything without Congestion Pricing.

The Post is 100% correct in opposing Congestion Pricing. Why should we pay for congestion that the city caused? You cut traffic lanes by 40% and you don’t expect traffic to increase?

The trend to remove bike lanes is growing, it is scary, and based in an imaginary world where the only thing that exists is a car and its driver. There are no real congestion issues, no real environmental issues, no climate emergency, no transit funding crisis, nothing. 🙄

How can Congestion Pricing be a win? If traffic goes down too much, they won’t get the money they expect. If it doesn’t go down, they get the money, but the negative impacts of traffic and pollution remain.

Sammy’s Law is based on a lie. A 20 mph speed limit is designed to double the projected revenue from cameras from $500 million per year to $1 billion per year. Summonses for doing 31 mph when 35 mph used to be legal for arterials. Nothing to do with safety.

Totally ridiculous. There are no highways across Brooklyn. Atlantic Ave is needed. You already took away a lane from Atlantic Avenue and reduced the speed. Now you want to remove more lanes. You want the traffic congestion to appease the one percent who bike.

No talk of more congestion outside the zone. Where are the numbers for the BQE? The way to reduce gridlock is to stop the city from causing it. Due to the bike lane on the Queens Blvd service road, making it 1 lane, my cousin sat for 45 min because an ambulance blocked the lane.

How is it propaganda? I am sure his customers complained to him how it was harder to get a parking space because of the bike lanes. He assumed that played a part in his declining business and spoke out. There is nothing wrong with that.

DOT needs to get back to the business of moving traffic and out of the business of causing congestion with parking and lane removals for dining sheds, open streets (really closed streets) messing up traffic signals, etc.
