We are thrilled to share that @NYCPlanning voted unanimously today to reject rezoning at 960 Franklin Ave preventing a massive luxury development whose shadows would have devastated @BrooklynBotanic and the neighborhood.

Shauna Moore, director of Horticulture at BBG, expects these blooms to last โanother week or soโ before they enter their next phase of tumbling beautifully to the ground.

The first cherry blossoms have been spotted on three trees in the garden: โOkameโ in the Cherry Cultivar area, โJugatsu-zakuraโ on Cherry Walk, and โFudan-zakuraโ in the Japanese Hill-and-Pond Garden.
