- Our community is heartbroken by the news of the passing of Dr. Paul Farmer, a compassionate leader, colleague and humanitarian, who improved the lives of so many, near and far. Our thoughts are with his family and all those fortunate enough to have known this remarkable person.
- Non-clinical employees were invited to take home a daffodil plant as a small gesture of gratitude. The daffodils, intended for the Boston Marathon route, were donated by @seaportbos to local hospitals instead. As staff exited, they were greeted with a round of sincere applause.👏

- Today Brigham Health held a vigil in memory of #GeorgeFloyd. Organized by internal medicine residents, we reflected on the injustice of systemic and individual racism in America, and affirmed our commitment to confronting & rooting out racism in our own lives and at the Brigham.

- During this morning’s active shooter incident, a member of our Valet team was shot. Our Emergency Department team responded immediately, and our colleague is currently in stable condition. There is no further threat to our campus.

- Debby Buonopane, a Brigham ED nurse who was treated for #COVID19 at the Brigham, was discharged today to cheers and applause from her colleagues outside the hospital. The heartwarming and inspiring exit was accompanied by a @quincymapolice escort home. #BrighamHealthHeroes 👏💙

- For more than 100 years, the graduating class of internal medicine residents at the Brigham have gathered on the steps of @harvardmed dressed in their white coats for a final farewell photo. Even a coronavirus pandemic couldn’t stop that tradition. 🎓
- This Friday the Yellow ICU team had four patients #extubated, two patients transfer out of the #ICU, and they heard six different Operation Hope discharges. It was a great day for this team in the ICU! #BrighamHealthHeroes
