Our community is heartbroken by the news of the passing of Dr. Paul Farmer, a compassionate leader, colleague and humanitarian, who improved the lives of so many, near and far. Our thoughts are with his family and all those fortunate enough to have known this remarkable person.

Non-clinical employees were invited to take home a daffodil plant as a small gesture of gratitude. The daffodils, intended for the Boston Marathon route, were donated by @seaportbos to local hospitals instead. As staff exited, they were greeted with a round of sincere applause.👏

When we stand together, we’re stronger together. Tonight at 7, join Brigham Health in saluting all essential personnel, across Boston and beyond, with a collective round of applause from your home. We all have a role to play, and we cannot do this alone. #ClapBecauseWeCare

Today Brigham Health held a vigil in memory of #GeorgeFloyd. Organized by internal medicine residents, we reflected on the injustice of systemic and individual racism in America, and affirmed our commitment to confronting & rooting out racism in our own lives and at the Brigham.

The Brigham’s Engineering team & clinical leaders teamed up to build freestanding booths for #COVID19 testing. The thick polycarbonate panels serve as a physical barrier between clinicians and patients, protecting #frontline providers & reducing the need for #PPE. #Innovation

Shoutout to former Brigham OB/GYN resident Dr. Zev Williams of @ColumbiaMed, who has developed a rapid, 30-minute #COVID #salivatest that requires no lab equipment.

For more than 100 years, the graduating class of internal medicine residents at the Brigham have gathered on the steps of @harvardmed dressed in their white coats for a final farewell photo. Even a coronavirus pandemic couldn’t stop that tradition. 🎓

This Friday the Yellow ICU team had four patients #extubated, two patients transfer out of the #ICU, and they heard six different Operation Hope discharges. It was a great day for this team in the ICU! #BrighamHealthHeroes
