Women’s sport is in real danger of being destroyed. You don’t create equality for one part of society by creating inequality in another

'What does this person know about track and field athletics? The advantage trans women have over biological women is unequivocal. We need to have a proper conversation about inclusion for all in sport that does not disadvantage women. ⁦@sharrond62

Grateful to @sharrond62 for speaking clearly and knowledgeably about the dangers of passing the GRA Bill in its current form and the unintended consequences to women’s sport it brings. We need legislation that ensures fairness for all.

The SNP look to be the only party in Europe opposed to the trade Deal....

I got to give this young lady away today. Pride just doesn’t cover it!

I just met with some of my constituents and members of @ForwomenScot who are outside the Scottish Parliament today defending women’s rights. This is a debate and discussion that needs to happen in a serious and pragmatic way. #womenwontwheesht

There should be no place in Government for this kind of radical extremism. Surely she must be removed from post? How many times is this SG minister going to get away with this kind of offence? ⁦@ScotTories@scotparl

So now track and field athletics becomes an unfair playing field for biological women. The threat of legal action has a part to play. Equality Act does not adequately cover. I ask for advice to be sent to sport. This was rejected at stage 3

Kez, this is extraordinarily poorly drafted legislation that ignored so many red flags. It could have been so much better but every party (except Conservatives) whipped MSPs to vote for it and even then some didn’t. It has to be rethought for sake of women and trans community

Just listened to @AngusRobertson suggest to parliament that the Scot Gov Census debacle that saw the Scottish census return 10% less than the rest of UK was fault of a Scottish public who have less personal responsibility than elsewhere in UK! Blame always elsewhere! @ScotTories

One has to ask why @sharrond62 was not asked to give evidence at the Equalities committee on GRA. Perhaps she wouldn’t give the answers that the convenor and deputy convenor would like
Concerning evidence from former Olympic athletes @sharrond62 @marayamauchi about the erosion of fairness in Women’s Sport : AT ALL LEVELS Fairness and inclusivity for females, from grass roots to elite sports, must be protected Press event @ForWomenScot

Nobody weaponised this issue but you @NicolaSturgeon We brought forward amendments in good faith and spoke to them in a respectful way. Nobody spoke against trans rights - in fact we spoke for them. We spoke against predatory males. This lies at your door

Absolutely! We are fathers, brothers, husbands, boyfriends and friends of woman. The more we speak the more we can put pressure on the powered that be to ensure fairness

This is exactly what the devolution settlement (which you signed up to) safeguards against - legislation which impacts reserved matters. Perhaps you should gain some understanding of the law
