I reported on an experiment this week that blew my mind. Psychologists at @Cornell recruited thousands of people to talk with ChatGPT about a conspiracy theory they believed. They wanted to know: Is it true that conspiracy theories rarely get convinced out of their beliefs? 🧵

What a piece. The amount of reporting contained in just this one sentence: ProPublica confirmed that Thomas was on the jet through Supreme Court security records obtained by the nonprofit Fix the Court, private jet data, a New Haven plane spotter and another person at the airport
For decades, Justice Clarence Thomas has secretly accepted luxury trips from a major Republican donor, newly obtained documents and interviews show. The extent and frequency of these apparent gifts to Thomas has no known precedent in modern SCOTUS history... 🧵👇

It turns out that the same time John B. started writing emails to me, he also started writing to a musician he admired. They too struck up a correspondence. Like with me, that correspondence made a lasting impression on the musician. And now he's also sharing the results of it.
An album of John B. McLemore's ambient works and field recordings has been released by @daisrecords. It's called "Witness Marks" and is the result of John's correspondence with musician Tor Lundvall. Learn more: win.gs/2Er39SH
