For basketball coaches determining rotations: It's impossible to play 11 people. 10 is hard. 9 is better. 8 is ideal. 7 if you're playing for a championship. ⬇️ ⬇️ ⬇️

The longer I coach, the simpler my practice plans become: • Positional system-specific skill work • O-D-O • Scrimmage Organize possessions to emphasize what you want to work on. Let them play. Don’t need much else.

Wow. Overwhelmed by the love today. I try to respond to everyone but I can't even keep track of them all! Amazing! So excited for this new opportunity to learn and grow, and help some young players develop in their careers. Excited to be back in Prescott Valley! Thank you!

As I plan my own practice today and prepare for my own game, the story of my cornerstone hits the heart. Wish I could be there for this last one, but feel blessed to have him as coach and father far beyond today. Once again: #ProudSonTweet

Amazing career. Amazing legacy. Amazing example to follow. Thank you for “bringing your work home”, Dad, and shaping who I have become with what you do great. Looking forward to this next chapter of our lives!

    1. Describe what it's like to be a player in our program. (If they don't understand the question, lead them to "feeling" answers. "Is it stressful? Fun? Frustrating? Enjoyable?" Their answer will give you insight into the environment you've created.)

    2. What is something we do that you wish we did less of? 3. What is something we do that you wish we did more of? (You'll get answers all over the board. And some will surprise you!)

    4. Which staff member (anywhere in the organization) has had the biggest impact on you? (A great way to learn who in the program, school, or organization is impacting your players in a positive way.)

Ten years ago today was @PhoenixMercury media day and my first day of work in Phoenix. It was five days before Championship Saturday, the season opener and ring ceremony. Talk about thrown into the fire! Thank you @MoheganMaven for opening the door. 🙏🏼
