- Unpopular opinion: I’m not big on teaching my kids that “sharing is caring.” As adults, we don’t share our personal items (phones, cars, drinks, etc) so why should I force my kids to share theirs?
- Replying to @BreeeGee_I teach them that sharing is kind! They can CHOOSE to share if they want to be nice, but they don’t HAVE to.
- Replying to @andyeahhhhYes you LET them to. You aren’t forced to do so. Sharing is KIND. I, of course teach my kids to be kind and polite, but they are not REQUIRED to share. They’re taught to be polite and kind-hearted but not mandated.
- Replying to @BreeeGee_Also adding, I have FOUR little boys who I do not force to share, yet they’re kind and considerate enough to always be willing to share with each other! It’s not that hard of a concept to grasp.
- Can diapers go on sale for Black Friday?
- Oh yes of course. In place of teaching “sharing is caring” I teach patience and being polite and respectful. For example, I teach my boys to say “May I have a turn when you’re done?” Or, in response, “I’m using this right now but I’ll give it to you as soon as I’m done.”
- Replying to @BreeeGee_In no way did I mean I’m teaching my kids to be entitled little assholes lmao. Relax people, of course I’m teaching my boys to be kindhearted and considerate, while also not being people-pleasers.
- As a mother, you have to make choices that are best for your child, not anyone else.
- Replying to @bleepblooplunaDon’t feel bad, they’re done just fine with their non-sharing little selves
- Replying to @andyeahhhhI’m sorry you’re so upset over your own interpretation of my opinion. Try not to be so judgement and angry, it’s not that deep. 🧘♀️
