The Brazos River Authority exists to develop, manage and protect the water resources of the Brazos River Basin to meet the needs of Texas.
- Anytime you go out on a Texas reservoir in a watercraft or simply to swim, it is at your own risk. But following major rain events where huge flows are moving downstream, your risk is highly increased due to debris in the water and lower lake levels that expose stumps.
- You may have noticed bright, turquoise-colored water around Texas this week. Based on sampling results, TPWD has suggested one theory that the turquoise coloration could be a result of a meltwater effect, similar to what is observed in glacially fed waterbodies.

- A fish kill occurred on the Brazos River downstream of Lake Granbury. The die-off of fish was due to a lack of dissolved oxygen below the dam. Swimming near dead fish is not recommended and dead or dying fish should not be eaten. For more, go to buff.ly/30RHZaX
- How ‘Bout Them Cowboys? ⭐ Sergeant Lambert Jefferson, the Brazos River Authority’s Lake Ranger Sergeant at Possum Kingdom Lake, spotted two former Dallas Cowboy players, Kyle Wilber and Tyrone Crawford, starting the July 4th weekend early.

00:00 - 41% of the Brazos River basin is experiencing drought conditions, a decrease from last week’s 54%. While severe drought has formed and moderate drought has expanded in the upper basin, abnormally dry conditions have decreased. The BRA water supply system is 97% full.
