Mississippi, the poorest state in the nation, is one of only seven states that tax food bought at the grocery store. Food is a basic necessity of life and you shouldn’t be taxed just to make a meal in your kitchen. The grocery tax is anti-family, anti-life and should be repealed.

- Mississippi is a wonderful state that welcomed me and Katelyn into all 82 counties over this campaign. While tonight’s result wasn’t what we wanted, I’m more confident than ever in our people. May God bless Gov. Reeves in his victory and this great state.
- Mississippi deserves leaders who fight for our families, children and workers rather than themselves and their rich friends. We deserve leaders who will never forget where they came from or who put them in office. That's why I'm running for Governor of Mississippi.
00:00 - Katelyn and I have cast our ballots in Nettleton and are now headed all over the state to bring home a win! Let’s all get out and vote!
- Katelyn just reminded me of the old adage, “There is a big difference in losing and quitting.” Make no mistake about it, I might have lost last night, but the word “quit” isn’t in my vocabulary. This race was never about me, but about the people of Mississippi. The fight
- 🚨BREAKING NEWS: A judge has ordered polling locations in Hinds County to stay open until 8pm. If you are in line, stay in line. If you need assistance, call our Voter Protection Hotline at 601-203-4131.
- A few things that a loss will never shut me up on: 1. Medicaid Expansion 2. Ethics reform 3. Restoring our right to vote through the ballot initiative. 4. Getting the sales tax off of groceries. I’m going to be worse than the thorn in the Apostle Paul’s side on these issues.
- We’re hearing reports of long lines in the Jackson metro area. If you are in line right now – stay in line, you have a right to have your ballot cast. If you encounter any issues today, call our Voter Protection Hotline at 601-203-4131.
- I conceded, called Gov. Reeves and congratulated him. I accepted the results, but that darn sure doesn’t mean this massive screw-up in Hinds Co. shouldn’t be looked into. No election denying here, but people need to know the facts of how many people lost their right to vote.Civic and legal organizations are calling for the Hinds County Election Commission to explain why the massive ballot shortages occurred Nov. 7. buff.ly/4aaFDs3
- I know we came up short (no one has to remind me). But, I would like to thank volunteers like former Congressman Ronnie Shows and others who led the effort in places like Forrest County. We flipped Forrest Co. for the first time since ‘79 when William Winter was running.
- Spoke with a deacon of a Southern Baptist church here in Mississippi yesterday who has spent 10+ years helping in Haiti on church mission trips. He voted for Trump in ‘16 and ‘20 and refuses to do it again. He said this latest stunt about Ohio was purely racist and made him sick.
- Mississippi deserves better than Tate Reeves. Make a plan to vote.
- This is a reminder that Tate Reeves spent your tax dollars on $4,000 ice machines, a meditation garden, a lemon tree room, and a nearly $38,000 raise for himself while our hospitals close and working families pay 7% grocery tax. Make a plan to vote.
- If you’re in line to vote, stay in line. You have a right to cast your ballot.
