Just a reminder for all you high school athletes who are convinced you have to specialize in one sport ... This guy played three sports in high school, and it seems like it turned out OK for him.

- Boonville girls are state champions with a 58-52 win over Mount Vernon!

- It wasn't the result we were hoping for tonight, but thanks to the many Boonville students, families, and community members who made the trip tonight to Jeff City to cheer both the boys and girls teams on tonight. You guys have been awesome this year!
- As I watch college practices, one thing I'm sure HS players who aspire to play in college would be amazed by is how many fundamental drills college teams do AND how few times college coaches have to beg their players to do those drills at game speed.
- Boonville wins 48-44 and advances to the state championship game tomorrow!
- Congrats to @cbcaton3 on signing today to play baseball at @wwuowlsBSB! The Woods is getting a great player, a terrific leader, a fantastic young man, and an amazing role model. (Colby told me to write all that, BTW.)
- Pirates win 62-46 at Osage tonight. Congrats to @JacksonJohns8 on his game-high 24 points - and more importantly on scoring his 1,000th career point tonight! Couldn't have happened to a better young man. Congrats Jackson!
- Boonville defeats Battle 65-59 tonight to capture the championship of the Southern Boone Tournament. Pirates are now 13-6 on the season and will return to action Tuesday night when they travel to rival California for a JV/Varsity doubleheader.
- Congrats also to Lady Pirates @AddiBrownfield and @Kourtkendrick on being selected to the @MbcaCoaches Class 4 Girls All-State Team and to @CoachHunziker for being named the Class 4 Girls Coach of the Year!
- Congrats to @lane_west44 for signing this afternoon to play football at the University of Central Missouri in the fall!
- Not how we wanted it to end, but what a great season - 1st conference championship since 2000, district final appearance, undefeated on home court. Thanks to our 5 seniors for their dedication, commitment, character, hard work, and the example that they set for our younger guys!
- Boonville loses 80-66 tonight at Fulton and ends the season at 16-8. Thanks to our 4 seniors for everything you've done for our school and our program! I can't tell you how much you will be missed! I look forward to all the great things you're going to accomplish in your lives!
