    It is with great sadness that I announce that Boone County Fire Protection District Assistant Chief Mathew Tobben died this morning during a swift water rescue operation. Assistant Chief Matt Tobben was assisting the Columbia Fire Department during a swift water rescue operation

    #MOTF1 arrived in College Station, TX at 5:00 am. The task force staging at Texas Task Force 1 HQ where they wait an assignment as Hurricane Laura makes landfall later today. Hurricane Laura is predicted to strengthen to a Cat 4 before it hits the Gulf Coast near the TX/LA border

    Station 16 (Turner Farms) firefighters rescued a dog who fell into an icy pond this morning off Hwy HH just northeast of #CoMO. Responders used ice suits to safely rescue the dog who had been in the water for at least 20 minutes.

    #MOTF1 MO Task Force 1 activated for deployment to FL ahead of #HurricaneDorian. MO-TF1 will deploy as a Type III task force of 45 personnel with an emphasis on water rescue capabilities. The current destination is Naval Air Station Jacksonville. They will be depart by 6:00 pm

    Today, Boone County Fire District Firefighters responded to Route B at McGee road for a vehicle collision. Firefighters learned of a young puppy that had ran from the scene. After a quick 30 minute search of the wooded area the puppy was located and reunited with its owners.
