Just realised that it was 13 years ago today that I made the decision to open a bookshop. Iโd just sold my business, couldnโt get a job in the local Waterstones so decided to open a small shopโฆ..here is original Bookish. Opened 4th October 2010

- Iโm raging, I have worked so bloody hard for the past 2 years, got through covid,rescued the business from threat of closure when the building went up for sale, kept every job, worked through illness and jeopardised my own mental health so the government could screw us all.
- THE SALE HAS COMPLETED, WE NOW OWN BOOKISH!!!!!!!!!!!!
- A secondary school ordered books with us this week. We saved them over ยฃ500, they'd be using the same big supplier for years. It has absolutely made a huge difference to this indie bookshop. HUGE.
- No words! Independent Bookshop of the Year 2024!!!! Thank you EVERYBODY for all your support xx
- In order to pay our electricity bill this month, weโd need to sell 211 ยฃ8.99 paperbacksโฆ..
