How it started and still is for most of my family. When I think about neurosurgical care, I know itβs essential for people to get the care they deserve regardless of where they live. Itβs definitely a privilege being at @HopkinsNsurg and my origins continue to inform my interests
Of all the things Iβm privileged to do, mentoring is one I hold dear. What an honor to have hooded Dr. Akosua Oppong today! I canβt even begin to describe how proud I am. Youβre going to do such great things!
Itβs all coming together, little by little. If COVID doesnβt mess things up, catch me soon in the home land! Grateful for the opportunity! #globalneurosurgery@HopkinsNsurg
Finishing up summer term of my MPH @JohnsHopkinsSPH! My path to neurosurgery has always pointed back home to Ghana and similar places. For the first time in a while, I see my path becoming clearer! Thankful to @HopkinsNsurg for giving me the space to grow, excited for the future!
Reading and learning about Dr. Farmerβs experiences from his various works have greatly impacted my thoughts on health equity and Iβve fan-girled him from afar. Truly a great loss! Taking solace in the countless individuals he has touched who will continue to live in his legacy.
Definitely been tough balancing MPH, research meetings, clinical engagements and family, very thankful for my tribe. The queen of this tribe def made the most of the experience and her ability to be hella chill inspires me
Had the opportunity to talk about some of the highlights of my elective time at our grand rounds yesterday. So thankful for the chance to explore and grow during this time. Looking forward to chief year and remaining engaged in these efforts! #startedfromthebottom#movingonup
