    Tonight, in Holten, Netherlands, as they have done for decades, citizens will lay candles at graves of Canadian soldiers who liberated this town in April 1945. It will be a scaled-down event due to COVID but these people have never forgotten the sacrifices made for their freedom

    Once again on Christmas Eve in Holten, Netherlands, children placed candles at the graves of the 1,393 Canadian soldiers resting in the Holten Canadian War Cemetery. These brave men who helped liberate the country in WW2 are not forgotten. Merry Christmas!

    Once again on Christmas Eve in the Netherlands, school children laid candles at the graves of fallen Canadian soldiers in the Holten Canadian War Cemetery. Those soldiers gave their lives to help free the country in WWII and will never be forgotten.

    This is the Holten Canadian War Cemetery in the Netherlands. Tonight, on Christmas Eve, school children from the area laid candles at the 1,355 graves of Canadian soldiers who were killed liberating the village and area in WW2. Let us remember them as they do.

    Today I got the best birthday present a father could ask for. After 12 days in the hospital, I got to bring my son home. Still a way to go for his recovery but at least he's headed in the right direction!
