So the KC Chiefs lost a coin toss meaning Mahomes never had the chance to become the OT hero that Brady became. Never had the chance. How the NFL sticks with this mind-numbingly dumb and unfair overtime format is beyond any reasonable explanation.

- I’ve never been a Justin Trudeau fan. Today, I’ve never been prouder of our Canadian Prime Minister. He was Prime Ministerial. I’m not sure we can win this fight but we couldn’t cave to the carnival barker in Washington.
- Somebody please explain to me why, in a country of 38-million, we pay so much attention to a few hundred attention-seeking Yahoo!’s. I don’t get it.
- Marchand just licked Callahan in the face. It’s not funny anymore, it’s just disgusting and gross. It’s an embarassment to him, to the Bruins and to the League. The NHL needs to stop it.
- For a coach to say his team is underperforming and admit that he is likely part of the problem is extraordinary. Paul Maurices coaching shelf life was up and he knew it. Whatever you think of him, his exit today reeks of honesty and class, the kind of which is extremely rare.
- Jason Kenney says Edmonton is a hub city because it has the fewest Covid cases of any NHL city—Edmonton had 59 cases Friday—Fact check, please, someone tell the Alta Premier that Manitoba(which has an NHL city) has had ZERO covid cases for 10 days in a row.
- If the CFL powers that be are seriously considering going to 4 downs, they should have their heads read. Whatever changes need to be made to increase interest in our game, going to 4 downs would alienate the CFL’s still sizeable fan base in a way you don’t even want to imagine.
- Proud of Winnipeg’s Jen Botterill who crushed Mayers and Cosentino on Sportsnet when they tried to defend Hartman’s gutless high stick on Perfetti. She’s the only one who made any sense.
- I’ve been overwhelmed by the outpouring of affection re my retirement announcement. Wish I could respond personally to each of the many many hundreds who have tweeted, just know that I am humbled beyond words & will cherish your kind thoughts for the rest of my years.
- The CFL is important to hundreds of thousands of Cdns., been around for a century, & whether you’re a fan or not, it’s a Cdn cultural icon. None of the 9 owners are in it for profit, the CFL is good for the economy & national identity, so why wouldn’t the Feds help out?????
- Pierre Luc Dubois WAS going to be the foundation of the Jets future. What he & Pat Brisson have done in PUBLICLY DECLARING PLD will test free agency in 2 years, & wants to play in Montreal, is despicable. It paints Chevyldayoff into an impossible corner. What a joke.
- Let’s get one thing perfectly clear—the Wpg Blue Bombers had nothing to do with the problems around last nights NFL game—Wade Miller rented the stadium out, that’s it, everything else was handled by the promoter and the Raiders and the NFL.
- Don’t anybody suggest the CFL has lost relevance. 3.1 million average audience on TSN and RDS, nearly 8 million watched some of the game. And streaming numbers up 75% over 2019.
- A Montreal billionaire just bought the Montreal Alouettes but the CFL’s TV partner, TSN led Sportscenter with The Chicago Bears trading their 1st round pick, then did NBA, hockey, soccer and golf, burying a huge CFL story 23 minutes into the show. Great partner eh??
