- So, how is Centerpoint Energy doing in restoring power to its customers following Hurricane Beryl (2024) vs Hurricane Ike (2008)? I researched @chron archives from 2008 to find how many CPE customers had their power restored by end of day post landfall. Here is the comparison:

- The current flooding event along the Guadalupe River in the Texas Hill Country is just incredible. In Comfort, TX, the water level rose from 3’ at 9amCT to 29’ at 9:45amCT. The water level rose 26’ in just 45 minutes! This is what a wall of water in a flash flood looks like.
- Tonight’s @astros vs @Mariners game has lasted 6 hours. For perspective, one could have driven from Houston to San Antonio (197 miles) and back, stopping twice at Buc-ees for 15 minutes each, and the game would still be on. #LevelUp #MathIsFun
