    OK, here is the 🧵of my experience with Libs of TikTok (while it is down and hopefully stays that way). I came out to my school community last February. That was obviously nervous making and friends were checking in on me so I posted this on social media. 1/? CW: violent threats.

    As for me, I am doing well. Starting school tomorrow at the same school. My students' AP scores were great last year despite all of it, and I am looking forward to an excellent year of academic rigor and critical thinking. I am still here. Fin.

    I was spanked as a child and I haven't noticed any specific negative effects that has had on me. and I don't spank my kids because I don't universalise my own experiences and the witness of others & data I have seen says it will harm them. Also I don't want to hurt my kids.

    And that is how stochastic terrorism works. Libs of TikTok didn't say anything more than a rude comment. But she didn't have to because she knew her followers would show up with the violence and hate with out her having to call for it out loud. 12/?

    OK this is... a lot of attention. Um I write essays and you can get a link to them on my pinned tweet. Support trans kids. Please donate to your local public school's GSA. GSAs (Gender and Sexuality Alliances) provide a safe space for queer kids in a hostile world.
