Cutting the cost of electricity is the number one priority which the @CommonsESNZ committee has heard from those giving evidence to us. Would be great to discuss your recommendations, some of which seem consistent with what the government is suggesting it will do.

What’s the biggest barrier to decarbonising Britain? We think it’s expensive electricity. @BritishProgress have 4 policy ideas to cut household bills by £115, and save businesses 7%. But bill reductions must come alongside market reform - to ensure long term value for money.

More dishonesty. 1. We are not shutting down domestic oil and gas production. 2. A third of the oil + gas workforce lost their jobs when your party was in Government - where was the outrage then? 3. You did nothing to ban the import of Russian products - no sanctions - we are.

Sorry Kemi, these are the facts: * 93% of North Sea oil and gas has been pumped because of Tory privatisation. * Extraction peaked in 1999. * The North Sea is going to shed at least 67,000 jobs between 2025 and 2035 and new licences will do nothing to change that.

1,000 jobs are lost in our North Sea oil and gas sector every month, as a direct result of Labour's ban on new drilling licences. It's an act of national self-harm that will harm Aberdeen’s and Britain's economic future. @RussellFindlay1 and I agree - this cannot go on.

At #PMQs, Kemi Badenoch said she wanted to reduce our reliance on imports of oil & gas. There simply isn’t enough left in the North Sea to replace imports. If The Tories/Reform really wanted to cut imports of oil & gas they would support the transition to renewables.
