IMO grassroots football is on its arse. seems to be a total apathy amongst lads today, only want to play in winning teams, want to be paid (or not pay) won’t be a sub and 4 me worse of all be 1 of 8 subs in a top side playing 5 mins a game just to get a medal!.what have u won?

With no game today it means our captain @pauldunne7 has played his last game for Staffe 😫 as he heads off to OZ to live One of the best players to ever put on a yella shirt, big character, massive loss both on & off the pitch & we wish him the best for the future down under.

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Alan “Fred” Fairclough. A former manager, secretary & chairman of @BickerstaffeAFC A true gentleman and a Staffe legend. He will be sorely missed by everyone at the club. Our thoughts are with his family & friends .

In honour of the late Alan “Fred” Fairclough who passed away in 2022 the club have placed a plague on the clubhouse & placed a bench overlooking the pitch at Hall lane Fred was a larger than life character and held every position @ Staffe from player thru to chairman RIP Fred.

Some great performances for us today, @fearon47 was standout in the defence but todays @Taylored_FM_Ltd MOM was @pauldunne7 . Playing in the unfamiliar no9, he was a constant threat for 90 mins 👏👏 Goals @luke_mcateer ⚽️ @BannerShay ⚽️👀 @Worthington ⚽️ @pauldunne7 ⚽️ 💛💙💛

Hard to single out a @Taylored_FM_Ltd MOM today after such a great team performance,playing 90 mins with 10 men but @pauldunne7 perfectly epitomises the fantastic team spirit we have in this team.👌🏽 Pushed all way this week with @BannerShay & @callumgiller having great games 💪

Great result for the Staffe tonight winning the Guild Hall Cup 1-0 against Marsh Utd, @callumgiller netting a last minute header to seal it. The game was sadly overshadowed by a serious injury to a marsh player and we wish a speedy recovery. #UTS 🏆🏆🏆🏆💛💙💛

Staffe 1sts beat Remyca on penalties yesterday in @Liverpool_CFA Jnr Cup with @michcloherty1 pulling off another fantastic save in the shoot out!…👌🏽 but @Taylored_FM_Ltd MOM goes to JGarland, who had an excellent game on the left driving us forward 🔥🔥 🏆💛💙🏆 #UTFS
