There are so many different roles on a softball team. & it’s not always “starter”. It’s someone’s hype man. Someone’s cool calm & collected. Someone’s small difference maker that hardly ever plays. But THOSE PEOPLE are the ones that make a huge difference. It takes everyone.

Ok I still don’t get why football players have to tell the world that they got a scholarship offer? I understand that you’ve probably worked hard to get that offer but I mean.. so has almost every other athlete that plays a different sport..... lol

Once you become a coach, a teacher, a care giver you will realize how other people’s lives mean so much to you. How all you want is for them to succeed. That’s a life worth living. To help others help themselves.

Dear 2021’s that didn’t get a phone call: Some schools are still finishing up their 2020’s & only have a list of 2021’s to keep an eye on. Don’t get upset if u weren’t offered or aren’t offered even this year. Everything happens for a reason. Be patient, keep working. We see you.

I really hate when schools just have anyone announce softball games. I mean calling the umpires refs, saying bases loaded at 1B & 2B, saying the hitter is getting a running start to get closer to the pitcher to mess with her and hit the ball. 🙃 come on now. We can do better.

If you're a college athlete.. don't take a day for granted. It's over in the blink of an eye. #timeflies

In softball, size doesn’t matter. You could be the smallest one on the team but it’s how BIG you PLAY! If someone new were to watch you today could you be their new role model? Always carry yourself with poise, stay humble & enjoy the successes of your teammates.

One of my favorite one liners when I played college ball: “Be so good they can’t ignore you.” It’s not about being arrogant. It’s about working hard, staying humble & letting your actions speak for itself. Anyone who watches you play will be able to tell no matter your size.

For those of you with eligibility left in your college career:

I’m just gonna say.. if I get recruiting emails from a company that sends out mass emails for you to coaches, I don’t read them. I do read the emails that have the right school name, right coaches name and are written by the recruit themselves..

I’ve seen a lot of girls decide to stay home &not attend college out of state or go back home halfway thru college bc their boyfriend is back home. Let me tell u that the BEST decision I ever made was to leave my (then) bf in my hometown to explore the world! Do whats best for u.

It’s pretty cool how there isn’t one body type for softball players. You could almost be any size or shape & STILL ball out!! The game is a team sport, what’s your responsibility? Do your job & trust your teammate that they’ll do theirs. &Always pick them up when they need it!!
