- I spent the last 5 days on a trade show floor with several Republican coworkers. We talked (like ya do) when times were slow. Not one of them is planning to vote Republican in Nov. Not. One. I was fascinated by that and asked why. Here are their answers. 🧵/1
- PSA for everyone…. YES, you CAN revoke consent at any time for any reason or no reason. No one “permanently gives away” their entire body. Ever. This is how rapists speak.Replying to @BexWords @Really123458797 and @redusa21Thats not how consent works. If you consent to permanently giving something away, you cannot revoke it. If you consent to temporary transfer of ownership, you cant prematurely end it. If you consent to an action, you can revoke consent mid action, but not for the part already...
- Story time! I dated a dude for about 3 months 2 years ago. Yes, we had sex. He became verbally abusive quickly, and I broke it off. I don’t deal with that. Two years later & he is STILL getting new numbers to text me from. 🤦🏻♀️ In case y’all are wondering why I’m #TeamBear.

- Y’all. Men know. They know how they’re treating women. They know which man is a threat. They laugh at his rape “jokes” and call it “locker room talk.” And they protect him. Because all men benefit by some men’s violence. And they know it. #TeamBear
- Replying to @BexWords3/ (Sorry - missed the 2 on the last one) Coworker 2: Young female from Oklahoma. Won’t vote Republican because she isn’t married and has gynecological problems. She’s terrified she won’t be able to carry and will die from complications if she can’t get an abortion.
- Replying to @BexWords5/ Coworker from WA. Middle aged male. Democrat. Wants to know “wtf is wrong with Texas.” (He knows I live in TX.) Hates the political stunts with immigration (his grandparents were refugees). Also wants his daughter to have choices for her future.
- Story time from #TeamBear! I’m 16 and just started my first job waiting tables at a local place. Bass fishing tournaments are common there, so we would have yearly influxes of fishermen to compete. I’m working, and table of men (6) came in for dinner….
- Replying to @BexWords6/Coworker from FL. Male. Unknown political affiliation. He doesn’t want his wife and daughters to lose the ability to determine their own futures. Has sisters and says they deserve the right to choose their own paths. Grandparents immigrated to US.
- Replying to @BexWords4/Coworker from TN. Republican middle aged man. Says he won’t vote Republican because his 20-something kids don’t want babies yet and need birth control. And he thinks AR-15s should be outlawed (his words). He doesn’t support Democrats, so he just won’t vote.
