    If the game is played on the original DS, Mario says, "Yahoo!" on the Nintendo logo screen but if it is played on the DS Lite, DSi, 3DS, or Wii U, he says, "Here we go!"

    I just learned today that the DS Lite has an unused "video output" feature disabled on boot that allows you to play DS games on your TV, and the hacking team Lost Nintendo History managed to restore the feature. So freaking cool! lostnintendohistory.github.io/DS-TV-OUT

    I was reading the Ask Iwata book, and I had no idea, but the Wii's "Why not take a break?" screens were directly inspired by Earthbound, where Ness's dad would ask him if he wanted to take a break periodically
