On July 26th, 2014 the Israeli Air Force bombarded the Al-Burrah neighborhood of Beit Hanoun killing 8 members of the Wahdan Family. My IDF unit had just spent almost a week clearing the neighborhood during which we found the family. Here's what I know: 🧵

I also used to think there was no apartheid. Then I served in the IDF in the West Bank and enforced separate legal systems for Israelis and Palestinians. Willingness to change your position is not a sign of weakness. It’s a sign of ability to think critically and reflectively.

1/3 In the middle of extreme heat, residents of the East Jerusalem neighborhood of Kfar Aqab are receiving only 12 hours of running water per week. 12 hours per week. And there seems to be no concern from the Jerusalem municipality.

The masks keep coming off. Israeli Communications Minister from the ruling Likud party admits tonight that his plan for “voluntary migration” of Palestinians from the Gaza Strip will actually be coerced migration or in other words ethnic cleansing.
