Sometimes you can tell if a group colonised a planet or is native to it by analysing if the planet is named after them: If the planet has their name, they’re likelier to be colonisers. Some examples: Humans from Coruscant are native, Ghormans from Ghorman aren’t (small thread)

The natives of Mandalore are Alamites, while the settlers are Mandalorians
