    Today, in stormy weather, a @bearforce #NH90 performed a #rescue operation after the collision of 2 ships. 6 seamen were evacuated from one of the vessels, 12 others were rescued by other means. (Images taken by the crew of the NH90 helicopter upon arrival at the scene)

    After a great season in 2023, we will not be renewing the 🇧🇪"F-16 Solo Display" in 2024. In fact, we have actively begun our transition to the F-35, our F-16’s are being phased out as they reach the end of their potential, (1/3)

    Today we participated with 🇧🇪 #F16 in the exercise Operation Allied Sky. This is a Bomber Task Force Mission exercise carried out by 🇺🇸#B52 aircraft together with @NATO allies and organised by @US_Stratcom & @US_EUCOM.

    It's getting real! Our first 🇧🇪 #F35 has entered the final stage of assembly @LockheedMartin in Fort Worth 🇺🇲. After fitting the canopy, installing the electronics and mounting the engine, the jet will receive its stealth coating, ready to be rolled out by the end of the year!

    The @BeAirForce #NATO Baltic Air Policing mission had a busy week protecting the integrity of the Alliance airspace in the #Baltic region. Our #F16 aircraft and crew performed 5 alpha scrambles. 🇧🇪 pilots intercepted, among others, #SU24, #SU27, #TU134 and #AN26. #BAF #WeAreNATO

    Today, 2 #F16 @BeAirForce successfully intercepted 2 Russian TU-160 Blackjack bombers above the North Sea, within the Dutch area of responsability of #NATO airspace. Due to supersonic flight, the Belgian #F16 were able to complete their mission, guaranteeing your #Security.

    Today two @BeAirForce #F16 of #NATO's #BAP mission intercepted two Russian #TU160 Blackjack and two Russian #SU27 Flanker above the Baltic Sea. It was the first scramble for the Belgian detachment which is safeguarding the Baltic airspace since the 3th of september. #WeareNATO
