    A Shelter-in-Place order has been issued. Please stay off the roads. The Bay County Sheriff's Office will continue to respond to calls for service at this time, but that will soon change due to dangerous winds. Please continue to monitor local news for updates.

    Because of deteriorating weather conditions due to Hurricane Michael, The Florida Highway Patrol has deemed Hathaway Bridge as too dangerous to cross. It is closed. Please DO NOT attempt to get out onto Bay County roads. There is a Shelter in Place order for Bay County.

    Thoughts and prayers for all affected by Hurricane Dorian. The BCSO stands ready to respond to other counties in FL and assist other agencies. It wasn't so long ago we needed their help to begin to recover from Hurricane Michael. We are honored to serve when and where needed.
