It has been some ride. Thanks to those of you who have been on it with me.

This will certainly come as a shock, but I donโ€™t have many friends. When you lose one that goes back 35 years it hits hard. He was decent, dignified and dedicated. โ€œRespectโ€ was a way of life. He adored his family above all, but he loved you #cubs fans. I hope you know that. #RIP

So the #Bears waited until after the news conference to scapegoat an offensive coordinator who didnโ€™t call plays, a tight ends coach with no tight ends and O-line coach who was given bad players. Now that's execution.

20 years ago Thursday. Cooperstown. Hotel patio. Late into Sunday night. Beers, cigars, stories, laughs. Reliving the day, speech, message in great detail. With affirmation from fellow HOFers, he called it one of great days of his life. You can rest now, old friend. #RIP #Ryno

My brother, Jay, died this afternoon. His suffering is finally over. Maybe you saw him at Kingston Mines, or with Lefty Dizz, Koko Taylor or some other blues legend. Here he is at my wedding. He never did explain why he played hockey left-handed. He takes that mystery with him.

My oldest completed her masters today. Three college degrees between the two of them, straight 4.0s all three times. While we can all agree that I had nothing to do with it, I will nonetheless brag. Very proud and more than anything grateful that theyโ€™re mine. #GirlDad

The not-at-all-humble bragโ€ฆMy baby girl leaves college today, graduating in three years, 4.0, summa cum laude. No need to tell me I had nothinโ€™ to do with it. #KeenlyAware.

He was at once wise and childlike, with a love to giggle and instigate. Did not suffer fools or volunteer opinions. Did not believe anything in life was or should come easy, but that all the best was worth fighting for, especially life itself. He deserved better. #RIP #Ryno

If a Hall of Famer can be underrated, this is the one. After the #Blackhawks glory years, Tony Esposito made the playoffs 7 straight years ON HIS OWN. Never really recognized for how great he was when the Hawks were terrible. Amazing performer. Thanks for the memories. RIP Tony-O

Response last few days has offered my dad the community he never knew, and the funeral I feel he deserved. I canโ€™t respond to all of you, but have read every tweet. Your words have helped me and my family. So grateful. And to those who work in hospice care, you are truly angels.

July 30, 2005. Cooperstown. Private party day before induction. They came from around the world to pay tribute. Some quite famous, some at great expense and difficulty. He was shocked by the outpouring. So many endearing qualities. Among the finest was his humility. #RIP #Ryno

#Bears' Matt Nagy wants Mitch Trubisky to be able to read a defense next year. Next year. In his fourth year. In the NFL. There's really no hurry.
