    New data from the Barouch Lab on BA.2.86. 1. NAb responses to BA.2.86 were lower than to BA.2 but were comparable or higher than to current circulating variants. 2. NAb titers to all variants including BA.2.86 increased following XBB infection

    What a journey has this project been for all of us, it’s humbling to see it get here. Immensely grateful to the amazing volunteers, to @BIDMC_CVVRTrial, to @JNJNews and to our entire team. Our hearts are so full to be able to witness this moment that we worked so hard for.
    Today, FDA issued an emergency use authorization (EUA) for the third vaccine for the prevention of #COVID19 caused by SARS-CoV-2. The EUA allows the vaccine to be distributed in the U.S for use in individuals 18 years and older. fda.gov/news-events/pr…

    In this study, investigators measured immune responses in 25 participants who had received either one or two doses of the Ad26.COV2.S vaccine or placebo. A high level of neutralizing antibodies against #SARSCoV2 was maintained for at least 8 months after single-dose injection.
